Michelle Gibson-Morgan. Lead. Learn. Change. Thrive.

Michelle Gibson-Morgan is a leadership coach, career development strategist, global speaker and award-winning bestselling author of career development books. She is also a Certified Goal Success Coach, Senior Learning and Talent Management Professional, Change Management Practitioner, as well as Diversity and Inclusion Practitioner.

As a speaker, facilitator, panelist and podcast guest, she has done presentations and speaking engagements for various audiences including faith-based groups, large corporations, academic institutions, non-profits and global associations. She has been a guest lecturer and guest on podcasts. Michelle is a woman who inspires, empowers and develops others.

Michelle was recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Black Women to Watch in 2022. She is a 2023 Women of Inspiration™ Award Winner. Michelle has held roles of progressive responsibility throughout her 20-year career and was recent the head of learning and development at a non-profit organization in Toronto. Michelle was previously Co-Chair of Professional Development Advisory Board for Certified Talent Management Practitioners Society of Canada. To date, her work and impact span the Telecommunications, Non-profit, Education Management, Financial Services, Immigrant Services and Human Capital industries.

Among her aspirations in life is to have a lasting positive impact. Michelle uses leadership, mentorship and facilitation to serve in professional and community organizations. Through the Institute for Performance and Learning, she is involved in mentoring learning and development professionals who aspire to advance their careers and develop their skills. Michelle coaches, advises and mentors immigrants, women, racialized persons and youth through Butterfly Ladies and was previously a registered mentor with Toronto Region Immigrant Economic Council (TRIEC). She previously volunteered as facilitator in the learning alternatives program of John Howard Society and as board member of Wolmer’s Alumni Association that supports leadership development of Caribbean-Canadian youth and provides post-secondary scholarships. As a whole, Michelle helps people to thrive and grow.
