Gratitude and Release

As the year comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on the whirlwind of a year it has been—one filled with triumphs and challenges. There were many hurdles and lessons.

Gratitude Despite The Difficulties

This year was anything but easy. Conversations with someone of my friends revealed that I made things seem easy and marvelous. Personally and professionally, I faced challenges that tested my resilience, faith, and ability to adapt. Some of the examples were:

  • the death of a close colleague
  • health issues
  • job loss
  • delayed milestones for multiple goals (everything seemed to take twice as long)

Yet, here I stand, grateful to have made it to this point. Every setback came with an opportunity to rise, learn, and grow. Amid the trials, I am thankful for key milestones that brought me joy and reaffirmed my positive impact on persons I served. Also, I am glad that I invested in learning about Artificial Intelligence. Some of the other highlights or accomplishments included:

But the true highlight of 2024 is not the accolades, but it is the deeper appreciation that I developed for life’s journey. This year reminded me to lean into my faith, embrace change (even the unwelcomed ones), and celebrate small victories along the way. This is in addition to maintaining relationships that strengthened me and collaborations that allowed me to make progress.

Release it!

Before we step into the new year, I encourage you to leave behind the burdens of regret and release the painful experiences that may have weighed you down. Forgive those who have caused harm, not for their sake but for yours—so that you can walk into 2025 with a lighter heart and a renewed spirit. Let’s embrace the freedom that comes with healing and focus on the beautiful possibilities ahead.

Here’s to embracing the lessons (learning moments) of 2024 and stepping boldly into a new year of possibilities while finding reasons to be optimistic!

Wishing all the best for the year ahead,

Michelle
