Continuing the themes of #Black365 and #FebruaryandForever, I share this reminder that an intersectional lens in the development of talent management and wellness programs will enable your organization to better support and develop your Black employees. This includes, but is not limited to, your high potential programs and your mental well-being initiatives. Let’s consider this as we collectively reflect on the last 2 years and where action is needed to go forward.
The late Dr. Myles Munroe once said “When what you are doing is no longer working, it’s time to change.” If your organization has become a revolving door for Black professionals perhaps it’s time to change. If you are struggling to achieve your aspirations perhaps it’s time to change.
How do we create sustainable change?
How do we improve organizational culture?
How do we support employees so they can thrive?
How do we make talent management processes more equitable?
How do Black professionals take proactive measure to achieve their goals?
How do Black professionals advocate for their needs to thrive and maintain well-being?
Lots of salient questions to evaluate as we explore the way forward.
